The Flame Within Us

“At times, our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has a cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.”

~Albert Schweitzer

I love that this quote pops up in my time-line every year at around this time. In December I like to reflect back on the year, thinking of all the accomplishments, struggles, wishes that are waiting to come true and all the interactions I’ve had with the fascinating humans who’ve come into my life.

Sometimes my flame is blazing and sometimes it’s flickering, desperately wanting to stay lit, but struggling to keep even the smallest spark - and then just when it’s about to fade, with no energy to sustain a flicker SOMEONE comes along and fans the flame.

I am so thankful and grateful for the way the Universe works, bringing people into our lives with a fresh match and a strong flame to get us going again.

💜 I have a few friends that have been with me since I was a kid - Love you!

💜 I have some newer friends that I met while becoming a coach and these women are absolute supporters, cheerleaders, believers in me, and me in them - Love you!

💜 I have some friends who have deeply affected my life, but we’re no longer in touch due to whatever life circumstance moved us apart or we realized that our relationship was complete - Love you!

💜 Friends/Acquaintances  through various work situations who are just amazing humans! Love you, and you may not even know it!

💜 My mom, who has always supported me, NO MATTER WHAT - Love you!

💜 I have women who’ve passed away, that I choose to continue to have a relationship with (did you know you could do that? 🙂) who love and support me from wherever they are, and provide spiritual wisdom when I least expect it - Love you!

Who are the ones that you have the deepest gratitude for? I bet your list is longer than you think

Think about them often, lifting them up in gratitude, will lift you up and keep your flame burning.

Be kind to yourself this week!

💜 Chris
